We all love to see photos of our cars, trophies and friends. OVR would be happy to host your photos. Nobody expects professional quality. If you have two dozen photos about red cars in a better quality what a cell phone camera can take, we would like to see those. We are happy to see the work of more than one photographers on any event.

If someone needs upload access to the OVR photo gallery, please write me a personal message. Include your name and email address, and let me know if you are familiar with any kind of FTP program because if not then I will send you some info on those (easy stuff).

Once you got access you can
  • navigate to the right folder, for example "autocross/2014"
  • create a new folder with the event ID (if you know that), date and your name or nick for your photos (PExx mm-dd-yyyy Name)
  • upload photos. Please use 1280x or 1600x resolution for the photos you upload (or something close to these). I would like to ask you not to upload more than 1000 photos for a normal point event. 3-5-700 is probably the optimal amount and  enough to cover everyone a few times. This will help us manage our bandwidth and storage space on the long run.

Once you uploaded the photos please let us know here, so we can jump on them and you can bag the well earned gratitude and thanks Smiley

If someone has questions, comments, ideas, recommendations about software programs / freewares they are using regarding editing or uploading photos, it would be great to share those things here.

Here is a free FTP client program available for both Mac and PC:

Here is a freeware for batch resizing, renaming and much more (Windows)

A simple photo resizer program (free, Windows) if you want something simple and straightforward:

This resizer should work on Mac and it is free:

Thank you

If you upload your run to Youtube, please insert a backlink to OVR homepage in your video's description section on Youtube. This can help a lot regarding the site ranking. Better rank means higher position on search page, and that means more people can find us online.

Here is the full website address what can go into the description part of the video:

By the way, in our gallery we can host videos as well not just photos. Not thousands of them, but the possibility is there.

Thank you
- Zsolt
