Stirring the pot...

Figure I'd take the pressure off of Ryan regarding his antics as a Mustang pilot.

So, my plan is to attend with my Mustang for a shakedown cruise.   I'd guess I will be in ESP running OVR's SP class against Campbell.

Who else is in?

So the plan is the run the course backwards from the fun of event with slight change in obstacles.

I am pretty happy with the course and the surface the course is on. I'm brining out the BMW to NTR which didn't think I would ever do again.

This may convince me to bring the FRS down there. I swear I wouldn't run there again with how the surface was

Much fun was had, great job everyone! Course was fun, would have loved a few more looks at it but the German likes fuel and when we it drank up all that was in it, we called it.

Did not get any wheel hop under braking so I will be back with the Camaro. Not sure how much of that was not as many bumps in brake zones, better dampers, better setup of the torque arm, or a combination of the three.

Big fun today.  Excellent course, Eric. Things went well once we got our arms around the timing challenges.

Time to fix your signature Rich, no Fiat = no balance...

I think a mid 38 was my best recorded time,  Solostorm shows my unrecorded run as .8xx faster between the lights,  so 37.7 roughly for AS, nothing close to Trevor, Campbell, Ritch  & co.. but not sad about it. If my video recorded I'll post it up here next few days.

Thanks as always to the countless volunteer hours put into the events.  Remember to keep the scanner within about 50' though... Wink

This was a great event - fun course, and even with some T&S glitches, we still got 6 runs. Pulled some video below.

Alex's fastest run:

https://youtu.be/zp2MMAhSiKY

My fastest:

https://youtu.be/kDFuSJ5uVvM

I got a little carried away on the very last run, but John Souder's announcing makes it all the better:

Whew first time T&S was enjoyable... Huh

Results are ready to go, but won't upload to the site and I'm suspecting it has something to do with the website change over the winter. I've got an email into Zsolt, so in the meantime I will try to find a way to post the results via Facebook, email, etc.

Alex is a little tighter on the cones than you Jeff.  You really drifted out on the sweeper which meant you had to work to get back to the left, that really hurt your speed through the fastest part of the track.

You are also very hesitant through the slalom, but you were also really smooth.

you were both massively overslowing for the 180 sweeper and the left in the back corner, you could probably have carried another 10mph through both.

You both seemed a little hesitant on the finish

Overall I think Alex's lines were probably better than mine and you and I were running a pretty similar line Jeff, I just think you guys both needed to trust the grip more, last events run in the cold weather probably played into that.

Closer to the cones! It's hard to tell what you were doing at the finish but you should have been flat out from somewhere towards the beginning of the left turn. The left in the far corner had something weird about it that gave me trouble too. I think convincing myself to just go for it there is how I picked up a second on my last run while seriously screwing up the slalom and the turn around the island. Other than that it looks good, just drive faster Tongue. As a side note, video is usually more helpful as a learning device when you can see what the driver is doing too.

And besides the results haven't changed since we read them at the end of the event anyway, so the people who stick around to help pack up already know the results ;P

Well you only announced the trophy positions.  As a cellar dweller, it's important for my self esteem that I know whether I am DFL or NDFL or N-NDFL.

I don't know - it was probably a fierce battle.  The Mustang used the ESP index which does it no favors.

Actually, since it doesn't have a passenger seat, it should probably have been CP.

You may have made it out of DFL if my times from the morning session got corrected. I think my real best time was a low 40.x. Which I think converts to about a high 41 is ESP-seconds.
