Although it pains us to do this, we're going to go ahead and cancel Saturday's event. We are also going to swap Sunday's event from a points event to a fun event, just to give everyone a chance to shake off the rust and get ready for the season. If you are currently registered for Saturday, we have three different options available moving forward.

You may: 1). receive a full refund for Saturday's event, 2). transfer your registration to Sunday, or 3). receive a credit for entry to a future event.

Please let us know via email (ovrsolo@gmail.com) which option you'd like to choose, and we will take care of it.

Sunday is still on, with one modification. We are not going to open the site until 8:30am, to give things a chance to warm up a bit. This will push our schedule back accordingly, but we should still get in plenty of runs. We hope to see everyone out for a great day of autocross!

Just a quick reminder for everyone - we are STILL ON for tomorrow (March 25th) with one small change to the schedule. We are not going to open the site until 8:30am, to give things a chance to warm up a bit. This means that our normal schedule will be pushed back by one hour. Please try to arrive on time, so that we can stay on our modified schedule and still get in plenty of runs.

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

I know weather and such were trying to throw a wrench in the fun this weekend
but man it was a really enjoyable day!
I ended up with 9 runs I think and that was after stopping early from fun runs because I just got tired!

Thanks to all the club leadership for putting on an awesome event!
Looking forward to the rest of the season!!!

It was definitely fun.  My only regret is that driving 4 very different cars in one day in those conditions was a bad choice if I wanted to be very good at all.

Simi was AWESOME as an announcer.  Clear, concise, BRILLIANT!

As Worker Chief I vote that she's our announcer at every event.  Smiley Wink

I second that... Simi is an awesome announcer.  Can't really say that I heard what she said about me racing since all I could hear was the Subie vroom, vroom.  I was having a little clutch confusion for the first couple of runs, but eventually started to figure things out.  I think I ended up with about 10 runs.  And, wow, the Subie is a quick car compared to the Lexus.   Cheesy
Thanks to Alex and Jeff for bringing me on to be assistant registration chief.  Really, I was not overwhelmed if I looked that way.  I was just freezing and my hands didn't want to work fast enough.  Looking forward to the next event. Wink

Cheesy At me announcing, thanks for the kind words
it's fun, it's even more fun when you have the data but Alan didn't want to equip me with that so there was a lot of guessing and such!

Thanks,

Sadly since it was a fun event, we didn't record results, time slips were given out but we didn't capture them in the system.

Just to be 100% clear, this was not an Alan decision. Alan loaded the registrations from MSR in the computer and Alan also hand entered the 20+ walkup forms into the system that morning. We absolutely could have ran timing like a normal event, but it would have required someone working the barcode scanner and/or everybody to have class/numbers on their card and a worker to manually enter them in the system. I was told we werenít going to run timing and scoring, so I didnít bother printing out barcodes or hooking up the scanner.

But it is so fun to make it an Alan decision!
haha
I from a running perspective agree it was nice to have 3 groups and get through the day faster
i know it means we were LIGHT on workers...
but with the cold it was nice to keep moving.

The website called Sunday's event "Points Event 1". So, it didn't sound like a "Fun Event". Thanks for the info.

Ahh yes, we ended up switching our fun event from Saturday to Sunday and just pushing PE#1 to 4/7
i understand why it may have been confusing now!
