Stirring the pot...

WWW
« on: April 26, 2018, 04:39:56 PM »

Looking for a set of decent tires for my D-Street Mustang. TW200 'Stones, BFG, etc. Too cheap to buy a new set on a car I am not sure I want to autocross.

Stock tire size is 255/40-19, so something around that would be good.  Don't want to go too much wider as wheels are 8.5".

Let me know what you have.

Thanks.

Post has been up for a day, and no smart-aleck replies from Brian, Jerry, or Simi.

Man, this place is slipping.

I have some 18" tires and a hacksaw. With some careful cutting they'll work great.

No interest. Those tires were used up when I sold them to you last year.

Does it matter what tires you have?  Mustangs all end up backwards on a sidewalk anyway.

19's? Maybe a 1990's tooner civic can help you out

Just buy new... I heard you can stack the Bridgestone, SCCA, Senior Citizen and Mullet discounts at Cosco.

Sadly, my hairline has receded to the point where I can no longer do the "business in front", and it would take too long to grow the "party in back".

I'm sure you understand.

I've got a set of 18" x 8" RX8 wheels with 245/40's on them if you are interested in those.  5X114.3 bolt pattern.  2 Z214's with about 5 runs on them and 2 Hoosiers A7s.  The Hoosiers have some wear, about 1/2 a season.  Send me a message/offer if you are interested in them.  I have nothing that they will fit on and would like all of it out of my garage before I need to have a "Grunewald Special" where I offer up stuff I have no use for over the forum for free!

Thanks, Alan. Will keep it in mind.

Given the casual nature of this endeavor, I am also looking at Federal 595 RR-RS.  $140 each in the 265-35-19 size.  But, trying to verify they are TW200.
