Registration is open for the Cincinnati region of SCCA, PDX August 3rd. Our friends down the I71 road have a consistent program proven to great to run with. I'll be joining the fun and hope to see lots of OVR folks there. Lots of Ferrari's and a few Porsches joining the fray with a joint club event. Make a plan to hit Mid Ohio in the heat!

Hoping for five, twenty five minute sessions, if there are no incidents. Lots of seat time, for sure.

We will be running the club coarse in the morning and the pro coarse in the afternoon. Nice opportunity to run both in the SAME DAY!

What is the difference between club and pro?

Pro course they eliminate the T2-T3 Chicane.. becomes a longer straight after T1... not near as fun in most street cars, getting the Chicane right is a hoot.

Many other HPDE clubs offer the same (or have drivers vote on it at the drivers meeting to see if people want to run the fun club course, or the pro course).

Hope you all hang around for some of the racing on Saturday / Sunday.  Group 3 (my group) will be particularly entertaining. Forty-two (42) cars in the group with a mix of classes - ITA, T4, STL, etc.  The top cars will all be close in times but with different characteristics, and that will make it fun.  OVR drivers Downing, Hardison, me being joined by Grogan, Linn, Mabrey, Vandersluis, Kutney.

Thanks Rich(es), I sent an email to Cincy SCCA contact on MSR yesterday without reply, but maybe you can answer these 2 questions...

1. Are friends/family able to come to the PDX at no cost? The registration read like only up to 3 "crew members" but I wonder if that was meant for the Sat/Sun race weekend... I would like to have some locals come out, but want to set the expectation if it is free like most every other group, or if SCCA charges to 'watch' the PDX.

2. Is there early tech and/or registration Thursday evening, if so, what time(s)? The morning of the event always seems rushed/hectic.

Thank you.

Too late to modify/delete last post, but I finally heard back. If others want to know:

1. $10 a person to even be on site/watch the PDX Friday...
2. Tech 6:30-9 Thursday night @ Garages 7 & 8.

We are going to get there as early as we can on Friday so we can watch some of the PDX.
