« on: December 06, 2018, 07:46:31 PM »

If you haven't registered yet, now is the time!  At the lovely LaScala Restaurant in Dublin.

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/ovr-scca-awards-banquet-la-scala-restaurant-ohio-valley-club-racing-269095

Afterwards, all the young'uns can head to Pins Mechanical at Bridge Park while us older farts can head to one of the many nearby bars.

Are there going to be any awards for autocross this year since it was such a short/messed up season?

Cool.  I guess we won't have to try and get refunds on those tickets then.  Wink

All refunds go to "Rich's MC Training Program and T4 Mustang Development".

Lots of fun.  Rich did a great job of being MC.  I vote for him to do it next year.

It was good to see everyone who was able to make it out last night! For those who weren't there, here's the Solo awards that were presented:

Worker of the Year: Andrew Apostolec
Andrew really helped us out by stepping up to the role of Set-Up/Equipment Chief this season when our original chief took a job opportunity out of state. He was always at each event bright and early to get everything situated and stayed until Toby was packed at the end of the day. Andrew went above and beyond the expectations of the role and we thank him for his hard work this year.

Stanberry Award: Ashley Eyles
This award goes to Ashely for sharing her enthusiasm of the sport through her talented photography and her efforts in introducing others to the world of autocross.  Thank you Ashley for all that you do and we hope to see you next season!

Novice of the Year: Darren Darby
While Darren began competing with us last year,  his season ended prematurely due to circumstances beyond his control. This didn't prevent him from returning and his perseverance has paid off with him rising to the top of the novice class after completing his first full season this past year.

Driver of the Year: Devin Taylor
Devin may not have made it to one of our local events this year, but his dedication to Solo competition is nearly unrivaled. He has given it his all to developing his #Teamdumpsterfire ESP Camaro and honing his driving skills. Finally his hard work has paid off, with him earning his first National Championship at Solo Nationals this past year. Congratulations to you Devin!

Congrats to those mentioned above.

Only other question remains... is Rich STILL there talking? or did someone finally wrestle the mic away from him?

I greatly appreciate the recognition! Always happy to lend a hand for making the events run as smoothly as possible. I can't wait to kick the winter out and start 2019!

Thanks for the kind words! I had no idea about this until Jeff told me tonight. I didn't even pay region dues this year so it wasn't on my radar at all.  Cheesy
