Stirring the pot...

SOLD
$2,500 $2,000 for OVR members and friends!  New vehicle coming on March 21st. here and I have to unload this beast!

I have this listed elsewhere at $2,750.

Maybe even trades for something of interest? Cars, guitars, etc.

Photos added below!

The new tow vehicle has been procured and will be arriving to our domicile March 21 in March!

We are Will likely be selling our blue 'Burb in the next couple months weeks.  Will post photos in the next couple days weeks or so soon, but wanted to give folks a heads up in case there was interest from a racer.

2005 Suburban, 5.3l, tow package, 3.73 posi, 2WD, cloth interior, usual equipment.  224,000 miles.

The good:

- Mechanically solid and well maintained. Drives great.
- Reman GM Goodwrench transmission at 60,000 miles, regular synthetic fluid / filter changes.  The reman has upgrades from the original unit, and has shown no signs of issues. Performance is spot on and fluid / filter stays clean between changes.
- Engine runs great.  No leaks, no noises, very little oil consumption - maybe a pint between changes (every 5,000 miles)
- Tires have maybe 5,000 mi on them
- Recent new bearings in pinion. There was some slight noise and I had it checked and fixed before it became and issue.
- Recent u-joints and drive shaft balance. New diff fluid.
- Regular change of all fluids and filters - coolant, engine oil (Mobil1), transmission (AMSOil ATF), brake fluid (Valvoline Synthetic).

The not good:

- Rust worm on rockers and behind rear wheel well.  Not terrible, but noticeable. Typical for 'Burbs of this vintage.
- Scratches, dings, etc.  Doesn't look bad if you wash and wax it. Which I have not for a while.
- Fan switch only works on first three speeds. Likely simple fix.
- Hot heat front and rear, but AC only works in front. Which is fine because that's where I sit.
- Rear wiper doesn't work. Don't know why, don't care.
- Broken exhaust manifold stud where it bolts to the Y-pipe on the drivers side, so you get a little noise on startup until it warms up and seals itself.
- Passenger rear door power lock does not work.  Again, I don't sit there.
- Rear cargo area a bit stained and beat up.
- CEL for evap code. Have not chased it down since it runs great and no other symptoms.
- ABS light on.  Very likely due to front wheel bearing(s) wearing out. Wheel bearings a little weak on these and are a wear item every 75,000 miles or so.  ABS works fine, and car drives fine. Will fix this for a sincere buyer.
- Probably close to time for front pads (which I have). I suggest a brake fluid flush at this time also.

There's probably more both good and bad, but this is what I recall at the moment.

Reason for selling: Pretty much closed the deal Got my eye on the replacement, probably the last tow vehicle I'll buy.

Would make an ideal budget tow vehicle for somebody. There are a lot of 'Burbs out there below in the $2000 - $6000 price range that look similar, but are mechanically questionable.  All work done by myself (not sure that's a selling point) and The Northend Wrench.

We've had this one since 2007, and would drive anywhere in it. I'd hop in it tomorrow and tow to where ever. It's been to Lincoln, MidOhio, VIR, Arkansas, Florida, and elsewhere and never skips a beat.  It's been one of the best vehicles I have ever had, and it is the one I have owned the longest.

$3999?  Gotta start somewhere.

OPEN TO REASONABLE OFFERS - I DON'T WANT TO END UP WITH TWO TOW VEHICLES!

Let me know.

PHOTOS!

These were taken this afternoon in the rain.  I have not attempted to clean the vehicle at all. For a year.

BTW, I do have the third row seat to go with it.

This is the worst of the rust, on the drivers side.  Passenger side has some, but not quite as bad.
