I know some have already heard. On the drive to work this morning a BMW 3 series slammed into the back of my 128. I was in stop and go traffic which came to a stop and the 3 series hit me full tilt, only going on the brakes an instant before impact. I was transported to the hospital to be checked out. I came out with no serious injuries, but I'm sore as hell.

Wow, Bill!  Glad to hear you're not seriously injured.  It's a bummer to see such a beautiful car in such sad shape, but that stuff can be fixed and replaced.  Keep us posted on how things go with your recovery and the car.  Let me know if there's any way to help!

This happened to me a few years ago. I was parking at the curb and waiting, but an old drunk lady was able to KO my car form the back. So I know exactly how you feel. I bet you are very thankful for the bmw. Great car. I got a bunch of help from Neva Hoover (at Autobody Specialist's) at that time.
I remember it was a long process with the insurance companies but at least I had some fun with the rented car on rallyx.

Sad to see a precious bimmer go down like that. Hopefully everything is well and you can repair it successfully
