Somebody help me please.  I found out that you have no idea how important a microwave is until it breaks.  And I'm too broke to pay attention, so I'm really in a tough spot.  Is there anyone out there who has worked on microwaves before.  I can be creative on pament if you can help.

I might take you up on this.  It looks like it's gonna cost me $50 just to have my current one diagnosed.  That's about $10,050 more than I have.

Walmart has a cheapie for $39.  I was thinking about doing that until I can scrape a few bucks together to get my "good" one fixed.  Let me know what you want for the one in your basement (either for temp or permanent).

Thanks,
BeerMan

Funny thing.  My neighbor was just complaining last night about how his microwave suddenly died.  Exact same symptoms as mine.  Things that make you go hmmm..............

The GE microwave we had for 12+ years died a couple of years ago. I picked another GE up the next morning at 4am at Walmart after work and it has still been going strong. Cost around $50 IIRC. Like most electronic items nowadays, it is often cheaper to replace than repair.

Whoops, completely forgot about this thread until now.  If you are still in need, I'd take $20 for mine.  It is a pretty small/cheap GE I bought at Best Buy when I moved into my first apartment a few years ago.  Only used it for like 2 years.  It would certainly get you by until you can get a nicer one... probably not a long term solution though.

I actually also have a very large very nice one that is probably only 7 or 8 years old.  Only thing with that one is that it's in my parent's basement in Cincinnati.

Anyway, let me know if you are interested.
